Using UX design principles to design websites, I researched on core audiences, created wireframes and high fidelity prototypes. Developed and launch mobile first responsive e-commerce website using WordPress on Shopify and WooCommerce. Tested across browsers and devices for content fluidity.

PurSolutions wanted an E-Commerce website that has all the features and functionality like product images, short and long description, choice to pick the quantities, discounted price when a higher quantity is picked, shipping costs involved based on quantity and a flat rate when a certain higher quantity is added to cart, taxes added and tax exemption to certain clients based on the category they fall under. International shipping rates vary versus domestic shipping. Provide an option if the billing address is different from the shipping address.
Payment methods involved, credit card and purchase order. I had make sure purchases went through when the payment would be made at a future date for purchase orders. Also, provide discount options for promotions.
All these posed a huge learning curve, lot of research, testing at each stage, problem solving (especially with shipping rates which does not go up after a certain threshold), taxes (calculate the correct tax rate for different states and for international customers). Added to all this, since the products were very expensive and highly perishable, we had to get shipping plugin custom coded for dry ice shipping domestically and internationally.
I also included datasheets, MSDS, storage and handling instructions, in both pdf and webpage. As part of promoting the products, I added upselling of the products like Related Products.
I paid attention to WCAG and made sure every image is as descriptive as possible.
